IMPORTANT: We understand practice time is important for all divisions. Please be assured we do our absolute best to schedule as many practices as possible based on field, player and coach availability.
Every division is open to boys and girls.
Challenger Division
The Challenger Division is a FREE program designed for children who face intellectual and developmental challenges in day-to-day life. The program is co-ed for ages 8-18. Each player is paired with a peer helper from either one of the LNAL teams, a sibling or volunteers requesting to help. See HERE for more info.
T-Ball (ages 4-5) *NO TRYOUT
The TBall division is for 4-5 year old boys and girls. Players will develop basic baseball skills while using the âTâ. There will typically be one practice during the week and 1 game a week on Saturdays, schedule and weather permitting, so expect to be on the field two times a week. Games are played on fields located at the Columbia and Mason Complexes. Games postponed due to weather will not be rescheduled.
6 & 7 Year Old Division *NO TRYOUT
This division is for 6-7 year old boys and girls who are ready to play in an environment that is slightly more advanced than T-ball. Games will be played on an actual field with coaches pitching. You can expect to be on the field two times a week, with a game on the weekend plus practice. Games are played on fields at the Columbia Complex and occasionally at Ruth Rhind or Mason Complex. Advanced 7yr olds have the option to play in the 7&8 yr old division instead, see description below.

7 & 8 Year Old Division *NO TRYOUT
Advanced 7 year olds are now encouraged to play in this division, at the parents discretion. This division is primarily kid pitch and gets the kids ready for real baseball. All batters in this division are required to wear a helmet with a cage. LNAL will supply helmets with a cage or players may purchase their own. You can expect to be on the field 2-3 times a week with a game on a week night, a game on the weekend, plus practice, schedule and weather permitting. Games are played primarily at Ruth Rhind and occasionally at the Mason Complex.
(The 7 & 8 year old division may have an optional summer tournament team that may be chosen at the end of the season through a tryout and selection process. Contact the division director for more info.)
9 Year Old Division *NO TRYOUT
This division will feature 6 inning games where players will pitch the entire game. Helmets with cages are no longer mandatory, however are highly recommended. You can expect to be on the field 3 times a week with one game on a week night, one on the weekend, plus practice, schedule and weather permitting. Games are played primarily at the New Mason Field located at the Mason Complex, and occasionally on Little Mason, Poholek or Ruth Rhind.

National Division (ages 10-11) *NO TRYOUT
All players in the age range are eligible for this division. You can expect to be on the field 3 times a week with one game on a weeknight, one on the weekend, plus practice, weather and schedule permitting. Games will be played primary at Little Mason Field, and occasionally on New Mason, or Poholek. If you wish to play on a bigger diamond in the tryout division, please see the American description below.

American Division (ages 11-12) *TRYOUT REQUIRED
* Players who were in American last year, along with all 12 year olds are automatically placed in this division and do not need to tryout.
To tryout for this division, players must be 11-12 year old age eligible as of our April 30th cutoff date. Players division age eligible 11 year olds who do not wish to try out for American should register for the National Division and you will not have to tryout. Players who are not selected for this division will be be placed in the National Division. The American division plays on the 50/70 diamond. You can expect to be on the field three times a week with. one game on a weeknight, one on the weekend, plus practice, weather and schedule permitting. Games will be played primarily on Poholek Field, and occasionally on Back Petti.

Babe Ruth Division (ages 13 - 15) *NO TRYOUT
*Players who were in Babe Ruth last year are automatically placed in this division and do not need to tryout. All freshman in high school or those who turn 15 prior to May 1st should register for the Babe Ruth division and do not need to tryout. Sophomores who don't turn 16 until after after April 30th should register for this division and do not need to tryout.
To tryout for this division, players must be 13-15 year old division age eligible as of our April 30th cutoff date. Players division age eligible 13-15 year old who do not wish to tryout for Babe Ruth should register for the Babe Ruth Prep Division and you will not have to tryout. Players who are not selected for this division will be placed in the Babe Ruth Prep division.

Sr Babe Ruth (ages 16-18) *NO TRYOUT
This division is for players ages 16-18 who are still in high school. The division will fall under the Massasoit League, but you must register through LNAL. See website at massasoitbaberuth.com for more information. Home games will be at Mason or Community and away games are played in neighboring towns. There will be 12-14 games, about 2 a week, plus single-elimination playoffs and a single day All Star game on Memorial Day weekend. High school players are encouraged to play as this league is laid back, becoming more competitive as the season goes on when high school players seasons end and they become more available.
